Tajwīd Textbook: Tajweed for Beginners — Qāri Ismāʿīl Ishāq (Madrasah Arabia Islamia, Azaadville) Definition, purpose and obligation of tajwīd; major and minor errors (laḥn jalī / khafī); istiʿādhah and basmalah; the Arabic alphabet and articulation points (makhārij); the qualities of letters (ṣifāt); the rules of lām, rā', meem and noon mushaddad, meem sākin, and noon sākin and tanwīn; the types of madd; and the rules of stopping (waqf). With guided recitation and memorization of selected short sūrahs.

Arabic Grammar (Naḥw) Textbooks: Ten Lessons of Arabic (Das Sabaq, ed. ʿĀmir Bashīr — prepared for the Darul Uloom al-Madania eAlim program) + Āsān Naḥw (Shaykh Muḥammad Ibrāhīm Memon Madani) The three categories of words — ism, fiʿl, ḥarf; subject and predicate (mubtada' & khabar); the possessive construction (iḍāfah); past, present/future and command verbs; subject and object (fāʿil & mafʿūl); prepositions; attached and detached pronouns; the adjective; singular, dual and plural; the grammatical cases (marfūʿāt, manṣūbāt, majrūrāt); and sentence parsing (tarkīb).

Arabic Morphology (Ṣarf) Textbook: Exercises on Arabic Morphology, Vol. 1 — Mohammed Waleed Ahmed (Darul Ilm Birmingham) The perfect (past) and imperfect (present/future) tense verbs in active and passive — positive and negative, with their scales and moods (naṣb and jazm); the command (amr) and prohibitive (nahy); the derived nouns — active and passive participles (ism fāʿil, ism mafʿūl), the noun of time and place (ism ẓarf), the noun of instrument (ism ālah) and the elative (ism tafḍīl); and triliteral verbs with extra letters. Drilled with conjugation tables and Qur'anic examples.

Arabic Literature Textbook: Qaṣaṣ al-Nabiyyīn — Sayyid Abul Hasan Ali Nadwi ("Ali Miyan"), English translation A graded Arabic reader that builds reading fluency and vocabulary through the stories of the earlier prophets, written in simple, progressive Arabic. This is where grammar and morphology come alive in connected text — reading, comprehension and oral practice — while you absorb the qaṣaṣ al-anbiyā'. (The dedicated sīrah of the Prophet ﷺ is the Sīrah subject below.)

Hadith Textbook: Min Ṣiḥāḥ al-Aḥādīth al-Qiṣār — sel. Dr. Muḥyī al-Dīn ʿAwwāmah A curated set of short, authentic ahadith for memorization and reflection, arranged by theme — opening with the virtue of knowledge, scholars and teaching ("actions are by intentions"; "seeking knowledge is an obligation upon every Muslim"; "the scholars are the heirs of the prophets") — with explanation of the meanings and key vocabulary, building a memorized core of Prophetic guidance tied to daily life.

Fiqh & ʿAqīdah Textbook: Ascent to Felicity / Marāqī 'l-Saʿādāt — Imām al-Shurunbulālī, tr. Faraz A. Khan One classical Ḥanafī manual covering both Islamic creed and the fiqh of worship. On the creed side: divine oneness and the divine attributes, prophethood, the afterlife, predestination, and the articles of faith. On the fiqh side: purification (ṭahārah) — wuḍū', ghusl and tayammum — and the ritual prayer (ṣalāh): its conditions, integrals, obligatory requisites, emphasized sunnahs, and what invalidates it. (The same book carries fasting, zakāt and ḥajj for later study.)

Sīrah Textbook: Sīrat al-Muṣṭafā ﷺ — Mawlānā Muḥammad Idrīs Kāndhlawī, English translation Selected portions of a detailed classical seerah of the Prophet ﷺ — his life, character and example — with the practical lessons drawn out for everyday faith and conduct.
